Language Arts Assigned By: Craig Squires | When students and parents/guardians check Power School you may see a mark of zero (0%) for an assignments(s). This practice is quite common at MDJH. The zero acts as a placeholder until any outstanding work is handed into the subject teacher. The reason: students and parents/guardians do not see a pseudo mark for the student. If zeros are not put in place for work/assignments not completed or handed in, the Power School mark will not reflect a student's performance. Subsequently, marks will tend to be inflated. Hence, zeros will remain in place until outstanding work is handed in and corrected. By the end of term I any work not submitted will result in a mark of zero permanently. |
